Deep Cleaning vs Regular Cleaning: What's the Difference?
A regular house clean maintains tidiness — it sweeps, mops, wipes surfaces, and keeps things presentable. A deep clean goes far beyond that. It targets the accumulated grime, grease, mineral deposits, and bacteria that build up in the places a regular clean doesn't reach: inside appliances, behind furniture, inside cabinet shelves, grout lines, window tracks, and more.
Think of it as the difference between ironing a shirt and having a suit dry-cleaned. Both clean, but one goes much deeper. Most households benefit from a professional deep clean every 3–6 months, depending on how often regular cleaning happens and how many people (and pets) live in the home.

The Deep Clean Process: Step by Step
Pre-Clean Assessment
Our team does a walkthrough of your home before starting. We note problem areas — heavy grease build-up, mould spots, stubborn stains — and brief you on what's achievable in the session. This sets realistic expectations and lets you flag any rooms you'd like prioritised.
Dry Tasks First
We start with dry cleaning — dusting, vacuuming, and removing loose debris from all surfaces, appliances, and furniture. Doing this first prevents dust from landing on wet surfaces we've already cleaned.
Chemical Application and Dwell Time
Professional-grade cleaning agents are applied to high-build-up areas (kitchen grease, bathroom scale, grout) and left to dwell for 10–20 minutes. This chemical dwell time does most of the heavy lifting, loosening deposits so they can be wiped or scrubbed away without excessive physical force that could scratch surfaces.
Room-by-Room Systematic Clean
Starting from the furthest room, we work methodically — top to bottom, far to near — through each space. Kitchen and bathrooms are always done last so they're the freshest at handover. Each room takes two to three times longer than a regular clean.
Final Inspection and Sign-Off
Before we leave, we do a full walkthrough with you. Any area that doesn't meet the standard gets re-cleaned immediately. We take photos of before/after for problematic areas so you can see the difference — this is particularly satisfying for grout and appliance interiors.
How to Prepare Your Home for a Deep Clean
A little preparation makes the service significantly more effective:
- Clear countertops and surfaces — the team can clean more thoroughly when items are moved aside
- Empty the refrigerator if you want the inside cleaned (optional but recommended once a year)
- Move small furniture if you want underneath cleaned — or ask the team, they're happy to shift it
- Secure pets in a room or arrange for them to be elsewhere during the service
- Be available for the pre-clean walkthrough and final inspection
How Long Does a Deep Clean Take?
Duration depends on the size of your home and how long since the last deep clean. As a rough guide:
- 1BHK: 3–4 hours (2-person team)
- 2BHK: 5–6 hours (2–3 person team)
- 3BHK: 7–9 hours (3-person team)
- Larger homes or heavily soiled properties: quoted individually
We don't cut corners to finish early. If the job takes longer than estimated, we complete it at no extra charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is a deep clean priced?
Deep cleaning is priced by the size of your home (number of BHKs and bathrooms) and the scope of work required. WhatsApp us with your property details and we'll give you a quote within minutes. There are no hidden charges — the price quoted is what you pay.
Do I need to provide any equipment or products?
No. Our team arrives fully equipped with commercial-grade cleaning machines, professional products, microfibre cloths, and all necessary tools. We only need access to running water and electricity.
How often should I book a deep clean?
We recommend once every 3 months for occupied homes, and once before and after each monsoon season in Kerala. For homes that aren't cleaned regularly, every 2 months until the home is back to a maintenance standard.
Can a deep clean remove all stains?
Most stains, yes. However, some permanent staining — such as rust on marble, deep dye stains, or old burn marks — cannot be reversed by cleaning alone and may require restoration work. Our team will tell you honestly during the pre-clean walkthrough what can and cannot be achieved.
